Artist of which you have never heard. Simen Johan

Johan combines all the things that I sit up and think about late at night into his photography; creepy children, derelict buildings, taxidermy, animal mutations, shadows and sparkly things.

From the series "Evidence of Things Unseen" 2000-2003

Children interacting with alternative realities is the focus of the series Evidence of Thing Unseen. It has been pretty established that children are creepy thanks to the thousands of horror movies that have focused on them. I don't believe it is the child that is exactly creepy but the child's imagination. Johan really focuses on the creepy things kids can do and come up with during their play time.

From the series "Until Kingdom Comes" 2004-2006

Until Kingdom Comes is a mixture of sculpture and photography. Sculpture seems like a natural step for Johan, he set up a lot of scenes for his photography that included sculpture like objects. In this series he uses taxidermy animals that are altered in ways that are not natural. Some of them take on human like facial expressions or hair styles.
